Information You Provide to Us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as when you:
  • Sign up for our email newsletter or mailing list;
  • Make a donation;
  • Fill out a contact, volunteer, or sign-up form;
  • Register for a meeting or event; or
  • Otherwise contact us directly.
This information may include your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, religious affiliation, demographic data, and, if you make a donation, payment information (see Section 6, "Donations and Payment Processing," below).
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our Site may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as Google Analytics) to collect certain information automatically when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This information helps us understand how visitors use the Site so that we can improve it, and generally does not identify you personally. See Section 9, "Cookies, Analytics, and Other Tracking Technologies," below for more detail.

 4. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect to:
  • Fulfill the purpose for which it was provided (for example, processing a donation, responding to an inquiry, or registering you for an event);
  • Send you CSJ newsletters, program updates, and announcements related to CSJ's mission, if you have signed up to receive them;
  • Improve CSJ's programs, communications, and the Site; and
  • Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site.

 5. How We Share Your Information

CSJ does not sell or distribute your personal information to third parties for any purpose. We use and share your personal information only to: (a) complete the actions necessary to accomplish the purpose for which the information was provided (for example, sharing payment information with our payment processor to complete a donation); (b) improve CSJ's programs; or (c) inform you of CSJ programs, events, and announcements related to CSJ's mission.

We may also share your information with service providers who help us operate the Site, manage event registrations or process donations (who are permitted to use your information only to provide those services to us); when required by law or legal process; or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CSJ, our members, or the public.

If CSJ were ever to merge with, or transfer substantially all of its assets to, another organization, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

 6. Donations and Payment Processing

If you make a donation through the Site, your payment is processed by PayPal, a secure third-party payment processor. CSJ does not store your full credit card, debit card, or bank account number on its own servers. Please review PayPal's privacy policy to understand how it handles your payment information.

 7. Email Communications

If you sign up for our mailing list, we will send you emails about CSJ news, programs, and announcements related to our mission. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us directly (see "Contact Us" below).

 8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the information below.

 9. Cookies, Analytics, and Other Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve it. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them for purposes such as:
  • Estimating our audience size and usage patterns;
  • Remembering your preferences so you don't have to re-enter them; and
  • Understanding which pages and content are most useful to visitors.
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect how the Site functions. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We do not use cookies to sell your personal information, and we do not knowingly permit third parties to use cookies on the Site for their own advertising purposes.

 10. Accessibility Statement

CSJ is committed to making the Site accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our website evolves. If you encounter any barrier to accessing content or features on the Site, please contact us at ChristiansSeekingJustice@gmail.com, and we will work with you to provide the information or service you need and to address the issue.

 11. Third-Party Links, Embedded Content, and Our Facebook Group

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and platforms, and may include embedded content (such as videos), including links to our CSJ Facebook Group, Instagram, or YouTube channel. This Policy does not apply to those third-party sites, platforms, or embedded content, which have their own legal and privacy policies and practices outside of CSJ's control. We encourage you to review the legal and privacy policies of any third-party sites or platforms you visit, including Facebook's legal and privacy policies before joining our Facebook Group.

 12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the personal information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 13. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

 14. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You may contact us at any time to review, correct, update, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of future communications. We will honor such requests except where we are required to retain information for legal, administrative, or recordkeeping purposes.

CSJ is a small, volunteer-run religious nonprofit and does not meet the revenue or data-volume thresholds that trigger the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We nonetheless aim to honor the spirit of these protections by giving you clear information about, and control over, your personal information as described in this Policy.

 15. Charitable Status, Donor Bill of Rights, and Financial Information

CSJ is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt religious nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN: 92-2817687).
